Would you like to make some walking around money this summer? Consider applying to be a circulation assistant for 10-20 hours per week, $12 per hour. Sample job responsibilities include:
- Staffing the library circulation desk and assisting patrons.
- Assisting with ongoing bar coding and inventory projects, including entering records into the library catalog.
- Shelving books in accordance with the Library of Congress call number system, filing loose-leaf publications, and “shelf-reading” to ensure the collection remains in proper call number order.
- Shifting, packing, and/or discarding materials throughout the library.
Note that you must have completed 29 credit hours for spring semester employment, and you must be eligible to participate in the Federal Work Study Program.
