Recordings of The Legal Research Process and Intro to MindManager now available

Did you miss one of the Library Lunchtime Learning Series sessions?  You can now watch the presentations online via Tegrity.

Here’s a recap of what you missed:

The Legal Research Process, Sept 20 (click link to view recording)

Ramsey Donnell, Reference Librarian and former practicing attorney, discussed the legal research process including where to get started, when to use secondary sources, and how to know when you can stop researching.

During his talk, Ramsey walked everyone through the excellent flowchart “The Process of Legal Research” available from CALI’s Law Student Guide to Free Legal Research on the Internet.

Intro to MindManager, Sept 27 (click link to view recording)

Ken Hirschman, VP Business Development & General Counsel for Mindjet, showed how MindManager can help you brief cases, take class notes more efficiently and turn those notes into outlines to help you prepare for exams.

MindManager is a software program that is available for FREE to all current JMLS students.   To get started using MindManager, see the IT Software Distribution website where you can download and install MindManager 9.  After it is installed, stop by the help desk in room 217 to activate the software with a permanent license key.
